This is the open road out of Djanet, southern Algeria. If I remember correctly, it's a bit farther on that there was the most epic road sign I've ever seen (even better than the one in Zagora, Southern Morocco, pointing to Timbuktu, 40+ days away by camel): to the left: Libya; to the right: Niger.
