greetings from Lisbon (not underwater or anything fishy)

from the bloody amazing Lisbon aquarium.

following which, in need of a hearty meal, I eventually decided on a hunk of fish, though the menu, possibly the most eclectic I'd ever seen, also offered "bloodletting".

I kid you not, that's really what it said. To double check, I looked at the French version, which sure enough advertised "saignée", i.e. French for, well, bloodletting.

Turns out, after a look at the Portuguese language menu, this was supposed to let people know that, among other drinks, they could order sangria.

No doubt this had been on the menu for years, with no customer wanting to ruin the joke for future patrons by letting the owner in on it !
