Berber country - Ferhat Bouda

The greater part of our Moroccan road trip was in heart of Berber country, the people who'd been living on this land since long before the Arab invasions - and more on that perhaps when I post about our drive from Ifni to Tafraoute, and on to taroudannt two days later.
So my attention was naturally caught when I saw this piece in the NYT about Algerian Berber photographer Ferhat Bouda, documenting his ancient people, fiercely attached to their land, tradition and independance.
